SEPTEMBER 23, 2024 - - - Even with a flurry of recent rain-outs, Bubba Roling remained red hot over the September 21-22 weekend in the 52nd edition of the ‘Alabama State Championship’ at the storied East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama! With 53 competitors signed in for the 602 Late Model portion of the program, Bubba knocked down the quickest lap in his group and overall during Saturday’s qualifying session to earn the outside of the front row for the 40-lap main event. On Sunday during the 602 headliner, Bubba dominated to lead each and every lap to secure the hefty $7,500 first place prize money ahead of runner-up Dustin Elliott, Hunter Robbins, Ricky Culpepper, and Mark Whitener!
In the Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series show at EAMS over the weekend, Bubba stopped the clock second fastest in his group (and overall) during time trials on Saturday and later placed second in his heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the third row in Sunday night’s $10,000 to win main event, the young Clay Hill, Florida ace was running inside of the top five late in the 50-lap contest until getting pushed over the banking by another competitor. At the checkers, Bubba found himself in the tenth finishing position and still finds himself fifth in the latest version of the Crate Racin’ USA point standings.
